According to officials, an unidentified male pedestrian was walking eastbound on North Pine. At the same time, a tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on Northwest 35th Avenue. The truck driver attempted to make a left turn but struck the pedestrian as he was turning. The pedestrian was seriously hurt and was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. There were no other injuries reported. The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
